National Skin Cancer Awareness Month

May marks the unofficial start of summer! A time when temperatures heat up and the sun comes out in full force. Though summer days make for the best of times, it’s important to always practice sun safety. May is also the perfect time to help spread awareness about melanoma, a cancer responsible for the largest number of deaths related to skin cancer.

People with fair skin and those who have a history of the disease in their family are among the highest risks. Luckily there are things you can do to prevent skin cancer like wearing adequate sunblock, sunglasses, hats, and SPF infused clothing. Remember that even on overcast or cloudy days we are still at risk! Get in the habit of applying sunblock each day before you leave the house to help decrease your chances of sun damage and overexposure.

NEVER tan indoors or outdoor! This is something we are passionate about at Botanical Tans. We want our clients to be educated on the harmful effects of UV rays. Luckily you can still get gorgeously tan without any of the risks with our botanical spray tan services. Our 100% natural & botanically blended solutions will provide you with a gorgeous, natural tan that leaves your skin hydrated & beautifully soft!
